The Prince of Wales Continues To Back Safer London Foundation

Work in crime prevention, community safety and HRH The Prince of  Wales shaking hands with  a crowd outdoorscohesion, carried out by the Safer London Foundation, has again won Royal seal of approval from HRH The Prince of Wales. It was confirmed that His Royal Highness has agreed to extend his Patronage of the Safer London Foundation for a further five years.

HRH The Prince of Wales initially supported The Safer London Foundation and became its inaugural Patron when the charity was first established in 2005. The Foundation promotes community safety by channelling money and support from business, the public sector and also from criminal assets seizures, into grassroots crime prevention initiatives.

Crime Charity Tackles Donation from Police Rugby Team

Tony Shepherd, Safer London Foundation Chief Tony Shepherd  with Brendan MacLaughlin and Comander Broadhurst  outside New Scotland  Yard Executive, was outside New Scotland Yard this week with Commander Bob Broadhurst to receive a cheque for £4,000 from Brendan McLaughlin, Police Business Manager for O2.

This donation resulted from a Met rugby team’s success at an O2 six-a-side rugby challenge event at Twickenham stadium late last year. One of the two Met teams taking part won the competition and chose Safer London Foundation, the Metropolitan Police Charity, as the beneficiary of the £4000 prize.
