Greater London Authority
The Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPC) has replaced the Metropolitan Police Authority and now oversees the Met Police’s overall performance and annual policing budget.

We support the Mayor’s Priorities for a safer London. These include:
The Way Forward on Violence Against Women and Girls – a strategy covering all forms of violence against women and girls including domestic violence, rape, sexual violence, forced marriage, stalking, trafficking, prostitution, female genital mutilation and crimes ‘in the name of honour’.
Time for Action on serious Youth Violence – a programme to address the complex long-term root causes of teenage violence by improving opportunities for young people to succeed.
GLA projects include:
- Project Brodie – Safer Schools Partnership
- Project Oracle – Launch of London-wide Evaluation Standard
- Project Titan – Structured Activities for Young People programme with YOU London
Safer London Foundation projects include:
- YOU.matter – we are responsible for delivering the pan-London uniformed groups project, which sits within Project Titan. Read more
- Empower: Hackney Young Women’s Project – which is aligned with The Way Forward on Violence Against Women and Girls. Read more
